Payment terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all qualifications and training programmes run by PRCA.

In these terms “you” means the individual booking the relevant training programme and “we” means PRCA (Registration Number: 00965517).

Payment by invoice

Payment must be completed 30 days from the date of invoice unless different terms have been agreed and are stated on the invoice.

You are responsible for meeting any bank charges (for example when paying from an overseas bank account).

Payment must be completed in British pound sterling (symbol: £; ISO code: GBP) unless agreed prior to payment.

Your place is not confirmed until you receive your confirmation of booking/enrolment via email.

Payment by instalments

In some cases, we may offer the option to pay by instalments for very large bookings or for our qualifications.

This agreement will depend on instalment plan due dates being met. If you miss or delay payment, we reserve the right to withhold further tuition and the assignment results and/or delay the marking of course work until everything is up to date. No refund of any course fees already paid by you will be made. If a payment bounces, we will make contact for an alternative payment card. Should we be unable to reach you, all training will be suspended until the next instalment is completed.

For our specialist Diplomas run in partnership with PR Academy, you are liable for the full course fees even if you decide not to continue.

Payment will have to be completed within the financial year of the first payment. Our financial year is January to December.

Refunds

Open courses

Unfortunately the PRCA does not offer refunds for our open courses. Instead, a transfer to another course of the same value will be offered.

Specialist diplomas

For our specialist Diplomas run in partnership with PR Academy, a refund request should be made in writing 15 days or more before the start of the course to receive a full refund. Requests made 14 days or less before the course begin will mean we can only refund 50% of the course fee. Unfortunately, we can’t give any refunds once the course has started.

Once you have submitted your enrolment form, if you want to change to another specialist diploma, a £150 plus VAT charge will apply if you are within the non-cancellation period.

All other qualifications

Learners not completing their qualification may cancel entirely at any point. Cancellations incur a flat fee of 25% of the original qualification value, not the value of the qualification at point of purchase. Depending on how much training has been completed, we may not be able to offer a refund. For transfers between qualifications, the cost difference between the qualifications and a £150 plus VAT charge will apply.

Programme changes and cancellation

On rare occasions, we may need to make changes to trainers, programme specifications, course materials, published programmes, dates and locations. We will inform you of any changes as soon as possible.

If we must change the location of a course, we will try to give you as much advance notice as possible. It will be within reasonable travel distance of the original venue and we will not be liable for any costs incurred including (for example) travel charges.

Sometimes things may happen that our beyond even our control, a ‘force majeure’ and means that:

PRCA will not be responsible for any failure to comply with any of its obligations (and therefore shall not be required to provide any compensation) if the failure is occasioned by any cause beyond PRCA’s reasonable control.

Nor shall PRCA be responsible for any costs incurred by or on behalf of the learner as a result of any such cause.

Such causes shall include but shall not be limited to war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, unusually adverse weather conditions and infectious diseases.

Other terms

Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in the course material shall belong to the trainer and/or training provider. All materials shared with you should be treated as business confidential and must not be distributed or reproduced without permission.

Learner and Employer Agreement
If your employer is funding your qualification, they may want information about your progress and your results. The PRCA will not provide this to a third without your consent. Please arrange with your employer how this should be shared, and any communication should have you in copy.

Declaration
By booking an open course or enrolling onto a qualification, both parties (the PRCA and learner) acknowledge and accept that this agreement represents the entire agreement between the party and neither party have entered into this agreement in reliance upon any other term whether expressed or implied, written or oral that is not included in this agreement.

Photo/video disclaimer

By attending an open course, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Photography and Videography
Where training is being photographed and/or video recorded, your participation in the event grants the organiser and its representatives the right to use, reproduce, and publish photographs and/or video footage that may include your image, likeness, or voice.

Usage
These materials may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to: Social media platforms; Websites; Marketing campaigns; Print publications

No Compensation
You understand that you will not receive any form of payment or royalties for the use of these materials.

Release of Liability
You release PRCA from any claims or liabilities related to the use of your image, likeness, or voice, including but not limited to claims for defamation, invasion of privacy, or violation of publicity rights.

Notice will be given when any photography/videography will occur. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify the event staff before participation or avoid areas where photography and videography are taking place.
