Personal Skills

Summary
Most people struggle with impromptu communication. They fear having to speak off the cuff. They dread being called on to talk spontaneously, without preparation. They are terrified of losing control.
This issue is exacerbated by the fact that most of our day-to-day communication involves a high level of control. In this digital world we can choose when/how/if to respond; we have time to craft, finesse and perfect our ideas and language and tone. We are rarely put on the spot. This means that we aren’t given the chance to develop the skills we need for those unexpected moments in the spotlight.

If this is you, help is at hand. If you worry that you’ll say something stupid or that you’ll stumble, that you’ll be judged negatively, this course will empower you to speak out with more confidence, control and skill.

Trainer: Jayne Constantinis

How attendees will benefit
You’ll discover that there are practical tools and techniques and strategies to help you feel and perform better.
You’ll realise that confidence is not a mystical force field (or something you’re born with) but rather it’s a muscle which you can grow.
You’ll learn that you don’t have to approach every meeting or conversation or presentation with trepidation. Because you’ll find that you actually CAN speak off the cuff.

Jayne also offers a unique programme of post course support – a series of emails over the course of 6 months, to check in on attendees’ progress and to encourage the sharing of experiences. Thus, the learning continues beyond the training room.

Who should attend
